LIEAP & LIHWAP payments are now being processed.  Please allow time for your provider to submit payment requests on your behalf and for LIEAP/LIHWAP to make payments.  You can access the online portal for payment status updates at www.mylieapwyo.org.  The LIEAP/LIHWAP team continues to work as quickly as possible to process applications and assist with questions.  We thank you for your patience while the new software system is being implemented.

The LIEAP office in Cheyenne is CLOSED to walk-in assistance at this time.  If you would like to drop off an application or supporting documentation, please use the green “LIEAP Dropbox” in front of the building on Snyder Ave.  Or you can send documents via email, fax or mail.  For questions, please call 1-800-246-4221.

Administered by the Wyoming Department of Family Services (DFS), the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program's (LIEAP) purpose is to help low- and fixed-income families and individuals pay their heating bills during the winter months. The federally-funded program gives priority to households that include elderly (60+), disabled and/or young children (5 and under).  Seasonal LIEAP benefits are applied to a household's main heat source (the fuel your heat system uses to heat the home; not the power source needed to turn on the furnace).

Weatherization applications are available year round.   The LIEAP season for assistance with utility bills closes on February 28.
